It’s time to start bringing your donations! The bin is ready to accept your donations of new or gently used, excellent condition items.
Please have a look at our wish list below, as we’re going to make less room this year for thrift. Help Knox avoid the high effort and cost of removing unsold thrift after the sale.
YES PLEASE: Books, boutique items (antiques, vintage decor, jewelry), housewares, decor, linens, tools, kitchenware (especially: complete sets), puzzles & games.
NO THANK YOU: Kitchen plastic, gift bags, baskets, electronics, picture frames, single cups, solo mugs, lonely wine glasses, mismatched plates, photo albums, binders, garage sale leftovers. Christmas and Dollar Store anything. Magazines and textbooks. Things that are worn through, chipped, cracked, broken, manky, stained, &/or are otherwise just plain weary.
Lay-out: We are looking at a slightly revised layout for our various departments this year. Our department managers are currently jockeying for position!
Bake Sale & BBQ: Will advise if there will be a bake sale or BBQ this year. BUT, we are going to ramp up the Knox Korner Kitchen Kafé with some delicious new offerings. If you’d like to bake a batch of cookies to be sold at the Kafé, or if you’d love to help out, please Call the church office 604 261 3747 for details.
Live Music: Are you connected to local amateur (competent!) musicians?
Feeling crafty? We’re looking for someone who might want to imagine, set up, and oversee an arts & crafts type of activity for kids and adults.
**A special note from the Boutique Manager:Please bring your donations for the BOUTIQUE to the church office as soon as time permits! We are excited to accept your donations of jewelry, silver, china and antiques, preferably in good / clean / polished condition. As it takes time to sort, clean and price these items, ALL donations must be received soon.
