Life’s Ultimate Sacrifice 

Based on Genesis 22:1-19 – Abraham Sacrifices Isaac

       God commands Abraham to sacrifice Isaac as a burnt offering. Abraham obeyed the command to sacrifice Isaac. God intervenes, right before Abraham was about to slay Isaac, to save him. Life gives us treasures and takes away from us. Ultimately, reality demands us to sacrifice what we cherish the most for the greater good of all. That is how the covenant relationship works between God (the Reality/Life) and us. Sacrifice must be made. And the world will prosper.
