“ “What Are You Doing Here?”
Based on 1 Kings 19:1-18 – God Speaks to Elijah
When Elijah ran and hid in a cave on Mt. Horeb, in fear for his life, God asked him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” Once assured by God, Elijah returned to fulfill his call. We need to occasionally pause from our daily grind and ask ourselves, “What Am I Doing Here?” to realign ourselves to life’s call.

Service of Remembrance
We make this act of remembrance today,
Not to glorify the horror of war, but to honor the sacrifice of those men and women who answered their country’s call to service in time
of need.
We come also to pray that peace may prevail around the world,
And the noise of war be forever silenced.

May the Christ who walks on wounded feet walk with you on the road.
May the Christ who serves with wounded hands stretch out your hands to serve.
May the Christ who loves with a wounded heart open your hearts to love.
May you see the face of Christ in everyone you meet and may everyone you meet see the face of Christ in you.
