Announcement: New Office Manager

The Knox Board is thrilled (and relieved!) to announce that we’ve hired an Office Manager for Knox! 

Christopher Cliff will join us on Monday, February 6th.  You might meet him before that date though, as he’ll be doing some ad hoc training with Josie before the end of January.  Josie has identified her last formal day with Knox as January 31st — you may want to drop by the office and wish her well before that date.  Josie, once more, thank you for absolutely EVERYTHING.  All the words in the world can’t express the depth of our gratitude, but we know that you know how we feel.

Chris comes to Knox with extensive experience in the United Church — and in spiritual leadership!  He worked as a Finance Assistant for Pacific Mountain Region and more recently, was the Office Coordinator for Queen’s Avenue United Church in New Westminster.  Prior to his time with the UCC, Chris served as a Youth Pastor in Saskatoon.  He is growing a business in Spiritual Coaching, so our part-time role is an ideal match for Chris’s business plans.

Chris will be working in a “hybrid” role as a permanent part-time employee.  He’s starting at 25 hours a week, working from home and office, and he hopes to expand his hours with us by Spring.  Building beyond the past office admin role at Knox, Chris will be working closely with the Board, Trustees and Finance team on the development project, as well as a 5-year strategy and financial plan.
