Dorcas – A Legacy of True Service

Narrative Lectionary Series

Rev Dr Richard Chung

Rev Dr Richard Chung
May 8, 2022

Based on: Acts 9:36-43 – Peter Raises Tabitha (Dorcas) to life.

Dorcas was a true disciple of Jesus who touched many lives and made many friends. When she died, the widows gathered and cried for the loss of someone they valued. When Peter raised her to life, the news spread all over, and many people believed in the Lord. She left a legacy of true service that helped to grow the early Church. We ask God to give us the heart of a disciple like Dorcas so that people will remember us for our service to the world and God.
