What Is Truth?

Based on: John 18:28-40

Too often, we bend the truth to fit our needs. We ask God to show us how to recognize and follow God’s truth, shown to us by the love and life of God’s Son, Jesus.

Questions for Weekly Lenten Reflection (Lent 4)

“Jesus before Pilate”
Pilate asks Jesus, “what is truth?”
– What is (T)truth to you?
“Religion is about Truth-Seeking, and Science is about Fact-Finding.”
– Do you agree with this statement? Why or why not?
Jesus said, “if you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:31- 32).
Based on this statement, the feminist Gloria Steinem once said,
“The Truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.”
– How did knowing the truth make you feel?
– Has the Truth set you free? How?

Next week – Jesus is Condemned
