Narrative Lectionary Series
Rev Dr Richard Chung

“Jesus Cleanses The Temple”
Based on John 2:13-25 (Psalm 127:1-2)
Jesus expressed anger at abuses and injustice. We need to show concern, not apathy, for injustice in our world, as we ask God to teach us to make right all that may be wrong.

Candle Lighting & Welcoming:
Call to Worship (from Psalm 27, 40) together
God is our light and saving health; we shall not be afraid.
So, with God on our side, we’re fearless, afraid of no one and nothing.
God lifts us up from mud and mire.
So, we give thanks to God, shout praise – hallelujah!
Praise God with all your heart!
Sing praise to God with a new song – hallelujah!
