Palm to Passion

Based on:
Palm: John 12:1-27 (Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King)
Passion: John 19:1-42 (Jesus is Condemned, Crucified, Dead and Buried)

In this season of contemplation, we ask God to help us to recognize that God revealed himself in Jesus, who walked among us and was handed over to be crucified so that we may be strengthened by his presence among us today. As Jesus comes near Jerusalem, he begins to take charge. Jesus himself pilots his course into the holy city, pilots his encounter before Caiaphas & Pontius Pilate, and pilots the events that would change the world forever. The clarity of his mission enables Jesus to call the shots and follow without hesitation. He is in full charge. He is the Pilot of his own destination.
