An Art Therapy Workshop

Join us April 17th from 1 – 2:30 pm for an online art therapy workshop facilitated by art therapists Elspeth Robertson and Bethany MacGillivray. This gathering is an opportunity to attend to your self-care through nourishment, connection, and collage.

Utilizing the principles of positive psychology, this guided therapeutic art workshop will focus on cultivating joy, gratitude and celebration. Therapeutic art-making provides the unique opportunity to explore and communicate these themes through the use of symbol, image and metaphor. The creative process can facilitate stress reduction and open up a deep personal dialogue with images and feelings.

There is no art experience needed to participate in the group! Come as you are to create and connect from the comfort of your home via Zoom.

Participants can sign up by clicking the button under the collage.
The number of workshop participants is limited to 15.
Eighty percent ($40) of each registration fee is subsidized by Knox – putting into action our vision of engaging neighbours through the arts.
This is a community event – all are welcome!

The price of the workshop includes a basic art kit:

  • poster board
  • glue
  • markers
  • stickers and other embellishments (ribbon, coloured paper, glitter etc).

We highly encourage you to collect items you are interested in using such as magazines, postcards, photographs, dried flowers, book passages, paint ect. Feel free to be creative!
