Second Sunday in Lent Communion Worship Service
Jesus used parables, simple day-to-day stories, to illustrate spiritual lessons. The word Parable comes from the Greek παραβολή (parabolē), literally “throwing” (bolē), “alongside” (para-) – or “to come alongside.” In this Lenten Season, we want to come alongside Jesus to learn about what it means to “forgive always,” “treat everyone generously,” “accounting for our life,” and “do for the least of the world.”
Text: Matthew 20:1-16, Parable of Labourers in the Vineyard
Title: Treat Everyone Generously
Synopsis: God’s kingdom is like a Vineyard owner who calls the laborers to work in his vineyard and pay the same wages to all, despite their circumstances. We are called to proclaim God’s goodness and generosity to all.
