Remove the Cover
Based on Romans 4:13-25
Ever since Adam covered himself with the fig tree leaf to hide from God, human beings have played a game of cover-up. To get the job done, to please others, or just to get through the day, we have put on a different persona, a different face that disguises our true feelings, true genuine concerns, and sins. However, God easily reads our hearts. We cannot hide from God. We can let God cover us with the blood of Jesus – the cover-up that makes all other cover-ups fake and absurd. To live in the covenant relationship, we must remove the cover. But please do not forget to wear your face mask!

Welcome
Call to Worship (from Psalm 22)
All you, who fear the Lord, praise God!
All you, children of the Lord, glorify God!
For God did not despise the suffering of the broken ones.
God did not hide God’s face from us but heard when we cried to God.
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord;
and all the families of the nations shall worship before God.
Let us come and bow down before the Lord!
Let us worship our God!
