Why We Wait

Psalm 68 (VU 787), Acts 1:6-14

We do not like waiting. We want answers now, change now, resolution now. The disciples were no different. Even after resurrection, they still asked, “Lord, is this the time?” But instead of giving them a timetable, Jesus gave them a calling. In uncertain times, faith is not about forcing the future. It is about steady witness, quiet faithfulness, and trusting that God’s work ripples outward in ways larger and slower than we can see.
