Jayeson Lyonns Artist Talk

KnoxVan Events is very pleased to welcome Jayeson Lyonns to our next episode of Curated & Curious. Jayeson is a man of many talents and has dabbled in everything from co-owning a gallery to working as a freelance animator and graphic designer. Currently he is learning tattoo artistry and also works with teens teaching art. He is someone who enjoys the challenge of learning new artistic skills as well as working to pass along his knowledge and help to lift up new, exciting and young artists. Currently he resides in East Vancouver along with his partner, Alison who is a musician. Together they have created a music video which has done well on the festival circuit and they have plans to create new and up coming works together. As someone who enjoys the challenge of many artistic outlets he also speaks with us about other upcoming projects – both digital and in person.

About Jayeson

Born in BC, and raised near a rodeo in Innisfail, Alberta, Jay is currently a visual artist working out of his studio in East Vancouver. “My foundations are rooted heavily in drawing, and I’m mostly developing for advertising, animated short films, and experimenting with mixed reality in music videos and tattoos. Having lived my formative years on a farm, I also enjoy working on machinery, which could explain my work in printmaking, and most probably my obsession with old motorcycles. As an instructor, I enjoy sharing knowledge with others, even if it means being in a favourite East Van coffee shop or over locally crafted spirits.”

You can find more information about Jayeson and his work through his website giantswitch dot com or visit his Instagram @papertractor. You can also find him on LinkedIn linkedin dot com/in/jaylyonns
