Kayt Roth Chats with Curated & Curious

     KnoxVan Events is thrilled to welcome Kayt Roth, a Director, Actor and Writer to our next episode of Curated & Curious. Kayt originally hails from Leduc, Alberta and has been making artistic content for over 20 years. She has joined the wonderful and generous industry of creators here in Vancouver in both film and theatre. You can see Kayt as an actor in recent major film work such as Netflix’s “Maid” and “The Unforgivable”. Kayt has also just finished wrapping up two theatre productions as a Director with Pivot Theatre and their production of “Perfect Arrangement” and a production of “Shirley Valentine” – both are destined for a festival appearances.

     Kayt chats about how her experiences as an actor affects her experience as a director (and vice versa!) as well as the deeply personal and emotional effect on her creative life writing and publishing her first book has had on her. We also dive into how she keeps balance and perspective while managing the many career pursuits she has.

     Kayt Roth is a multi-talented performer and creator based in Vancouver. As an actor, she has appeared in television and films including Maid and The Unforgivable, and on stage in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Nunsense, and Evita. She is an award-winning director, helming more than 20 productions including The Sound of Music, Noises Off, Sealed for Freshness, A Comedy of Tenors, and her own musical review, A Drift in L.A. When not in the theatre or on set, Kayt can be found writing fiction, including her first published novel, Letters to Helen.
